Supermarkets and Antibiotics

New Report:

Resistance & Responsibility - Antibiotic use in supermarket supply chains

In September 2024, the Alliance to Save Our Antibiotics published our latest report into the antibiotic policies of the UK’s leading supermarkets. Our supermarket campaign is calling for British supermarkets to adopt more responsible and comprehensive antibiotics policies to minimise the use of antibiotics and help tackle the global antibiotic-resistance crisis. Good animal-husbandry standards, aimed at ensuring high levels of animal health and welfare and low levels of antibiotic use, are a crucial part of a responsible antibiotics policy.
