The 'Farm Antibiotics in Good Food Britain' event, due to take place in the House of Commons on 24th March has been cancelled.
As of today, Monday 16th March, all non-urgent parliamentary business is suspended in the House of Commons, this means the Alliance’s Parliamentary event due to take place on 24th March is cancelled. The Alliance fully supports all efforts to safeguard public health and appreciate how important it is to keep essential business going in the House of Commons. The purpose of our event was to highlight what more the UK could do to protect public health from the rise in antimicrobial resistance in this country and around the world. The Coronavirus starkly shows how vulnerable the modern world is to transmissible disease. As such, while we take all appropriate measures to stay safe, our work will continue as we endeavour to create positive change and ensure our antibiotics and health are protected as much as possible.
